Stars and Fleur have a long history and close connections. Many years ago they played each other on boxing day each season. The Boxing day fixture used to kick over early and then both teams had a good old festive drink in the club afterwards when the ritual pig head competition took place. Usually Fleur would be victorious but on the rare occasions did win this fixture.
Saturday will be the first time the 2 teams have played competitively since those boxing day games. Fleur have slipped down the leagues over the last couple of seasons and are currently 1 point below the Stars in league 3A East.
Both sides are desperate for the points to get further away from the relegation zone so it is likely to be a very competitive game.
The Stars would encourage all supporters to forget the Christmas shopping and get up Stade de Libanus and support the boys on. There is no excuse as this is our first home game since 29 October.
Come on the Stars
