Stars travelled to Oakdale for their first local derby and their very first competitive game between the two sides

As you can imagine it was a very tense affair and the young Stars side competed very well against a much more experienced Oakdale side. Stars scored two converted tries by Sam Creel and Lloyd Exton. The score however was 17-14 to Oakdale with 1 minute to play; Stars continued to take the game to Oakdale and were awarded a penalty and Kyle Tudge cooly converted a difficult penalty to draw the game 17-17.

Lloyd Exton was voted man of the match.
